My dad dabbled in pottery when he was young, our home scattered with his jugs and jars and mugs. He's always been a creative muse, making life-sized snow sculptures of polar bears, lions and Porsche's in our front yard, sending me to school with the best paper maché projects that no fourth-grader could have possibly done without some help, and always emphasizing attention to detail and craft. Our matching 'mish mosh' colored eyes inspired the name, and the love of making and sharing has continued to fuel the fire.

What I had to say to you, moreover, would not take long, to wit: Practice any art, music, singing, dancing, acting, drawing, painting, sculpting, poetry, fiction, essays, reportage, no matter how well or badly, not to get money and fame, but to experience becoming, to find out what’s inside you, to make your soul grow.
